Where are you from?
Chicago, Illinois. I currently attend Harold Washington College, part of the City Colleges of Chicago.
What are your academic and/or technical interests?
I’m currently studying mechanical engineering, but I also have a strong interest in computer science. I enjoy learning how coding and technology can be used alongside engineering rather than treating them as separate fields. My goal is to combine both areas in my future career, especially in ways that involve solving real-world problems and working with advanced systems.
Do you have any hobbies?
In my free time, I like going to the gym and staying active. I also enjoy gaming, especially playing Valorant. Outside of that, I like working on small hands-on projects at home that involve engineering or tech, and I’ve also spent time learning and working on cars!
What are you most excited about for this program?
I’m most excited about the hands-on experience this program offers, especially through the projects I selected. They all seem really interesting and detailed, and I’m looking forward to learning in a deeper, more practical way since most of my experience so far has been through classes or school programs. I’m also excited to build new skills, work with others, and get a better understanding of how these systems actually work in real-world settings
