Where are you from?
Chicago, IL
What are your academic and/or technical interests?
I’m a computer science major, and I’m really interested in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity. Lately, I’ve been getting more interested in how large scale systems and high performance computing actually work behind the scenes. I enjoy learning how data can be used to solve problems and make better decisions, and I’m especially curious about how these tools can be applied to real world challenges.
Do you have any hobbies?
I like playing basketball and staying active, and I spend a good amount of time working on coding and improving my programming skills. I also enjoy learning about new technology and finding ways to get better at what I do.
What are you most excited about for this program?
I’m really excited to get hands on experience with high performance computing and work on real world problems with other students. I’m looking forward to learning more about how large systems work, collaborating with a team, and building skills that I can use in internships and my future career.
