Where are you from?

Puerto Rico

What are your academic and/or technical interests?

As a second year Chemical Engineering student, I am interested in building a strong foundation in the Chemical Process Design and Reactions. As a laboratory and business member at the ChemE Cube Team, I apply the analytical data analysis and marketability of a pack bed reactor. Because of this, I am eager to learn how HPC can scale these simulations to optimize reactor efficiency and accelerate the development of sustainable chemical technologies.

Do you have any hobbies?

In my free time, I go to my association reunions, activities, also volunteering in Charity and Staff Committee. I enjoy solving puzzles, coloring books, baking, and exploring my Island Puerto Rico.

What are you most excited about for this program?

I am most excited about the opportunity to see supercomputers in person and learn from professionals at Argonne National Laboratory. Coming from Puerto Rico, I am particularly interested in how HPC can address global energy challenges. I look forward to the hands-on group projects, as they will allow me to mix computational science, mathematics and chemistry and apply it to real-world engineering problems for the first time.
