Where are you from?
Originally from Arvin/Bakersfield in the Central Valley. I’ve lived in the SF Bay Area since 2006 and currently live in Oakland.
What are your academic/technical/or energy justice interests?
I enjoy studying biology and learning about cells. I am intensely interested in developmental biology, stem cells, and reproductive health. I am passionate about social justice issues ranging from the environment to energy issues.
Do you have any hobbies?
I enjoy cooking, dancing, and the sun. I also have three cats and two budgies at home, surrounded by over 60 indoor plants and trees.
What are you most excited about for this program?
I am excited to collaborate with folks from different walks of life. Having diverse perspectives means we will bring a lot to the table! I hope to evolve my current perceptions of energy and equitability.
