Where are you from?
Graduate Researcher, Sustaining Urban Places Research (SUPR) Laboratory, Portland State university, Portland, OR
What are your academic and/or technical interests?
I have an academic and professional background in geography and environmental sustainability. Over my five years of research experience in nature-based climate solutions, I have utilized R, GIS, and remote sensing datasets for complex geo-computational environmental mapping. Hence, gaining expertise in High-Performance Computing (HPC) offers a seamless and efficient method to process big data in real time while providing scalable solutions to critical environmental issues.
Do you have any hobbies?
I enjoy taking nature walks and am keen on exploring possibilities.
What are you most excited about for this program?
The one-week technical experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art supercomputing facilities at Argonne National Laboratory, as well as to build meaningful connections with peer mentors and fellow big data enthusiasts. I am very excited about the intellectual sessions at the upcoming bootcamp.
