I am a PhD Physicist, now working in High Performance Computing as a consultant focusing on user engagement. My background includes experience with modeling and simulating complex phenomena for electron beam dynamics within light sources, as well as with engaging scientists in community building and skill development. I currently work as a Science Engagement Engineer at the DOE Mission High Performance Computing facility, NERSC, within Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. In this role, I leverage my background in computational physics to help other scientists with their computing needs. This includes helping NERSC users directly as a consultant, as well as preparing and delivering training materials and sessions. I also manage the NERSC User Group (NUG) and the executive board (NUGEx) by holding monthly community calls, developing and implementing community programs, and planning our annual NUG meeting.
