Where are you from?
I am from Bangkok, Thailand. I moved to New York City for work and ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, and now I am studying for my bachelor’s degree at UCLA.

What are your academic/technical/or energy justice interests?
I am intrigued by energy efficiency practices and technologies that aim to minimize energy waste, optimize energy and ensure equitable access to affordable energy for all communities. Also, I have a strong interest in utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools, which is my academic focus, to analyze and map energy-related data, assess environmental impacts, identify areas for renewable energy deployment, and support evidence-based decision-making.

Do you have any hobbies?
In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time in small or local bookstores, immersing myself in the world of literature. I also enjoy visiting local coffee shops, savoring a warm cup of coffee while indulging in a good book or engaging in meaningful conversations. Walking is another hobby that I enjoy, as it allows me to connect with nature, clear my mind, and appreciate the beauty of my surroundings. Lastly, I am passionate about setting goals and working towards achieving them. Whether personal, academic, or professional goals, I find fulfillment in planning, striving, and ultimately accomplishing what I set out to do. These hobbies bring me happiness, relaxation, and a sense of personal growth.

What are you most excited about for this program?
I am most excited about the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and expand my knowledge in high-performance computing through this program. The chance to learn about cutting-edge technologies and their applications in addressing energy justice and sustainability is truly thrilling. Additionally, I am excited about the potential impact that this program can have on my future career. By enhancing my computing skills and expertise, I will be better equipped to contribute to the efforts in tackling climate change, promoting renewable energy, and creating a more equitable society. I am eager to immerse myself in the program, absorb new knowledge, and apply it to real-world challenges. The opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to a more sustainable future is what excites me the most about this program.
