What are your academic and/or technical interests?
I’m into building real-world tools, especially for students. I go to hackathons a lot to test ideas fast. Lately, I’ve been working on a class selection tool and using AI video tools to create short ads for it.
Do you have any hobbies?
I’m a big cyclist, love riding through SF, fixing bikes, and flipping them when I can. Recently got into piano. I’ve also been into photography for a while, mostly shooting stuff I come across while biking. Solving Rubik’s cubes are my go-to brain break when I need to reset.
What are you most excited about for this program?
AI is the biggest shift of this decade, maybe even our generation. I’ve used a lot of AI tools, but I’ve always been more curious about what’s going on under the hood, like how HPC makes these models work at scale. That’s what excites me most about this program: the chance to actually learn how it all works from the people building the systems behind it. I want to understand the infrastructure, not just use the tools.
