Where are you from?
I am from Galt, California.

What are your academic/technical/or energy justice interests?
My academic interest is becoming a chemical engineer with a emphasis in electro chemistry. I have great interest in improving/advancing energy output options. I would like to help in the science of further development of the batteries.

Do you have any hobbies?
My hobbies include, Latin dancing, programming, reading, working out, roller skating, rock climbing.

What are you most excited about for this program?
I was looking at some of the topics that were included in the email sent to us. The two topics that caught my attention were: Solar Power for Affordable Housing through Computational Design of Low-Cost/High-Efficiency Solar Cells and Energy Cost for Disadvantaged Populations and Methods of Energy Efficiency and Energy Optimization in Computing Systems I feel that both these topics are important because as we make more affordable solar cells, then we can help lower energy consumption which in turn can solve a host of other issues. As a country, if we cannot help those who are at a disadvantage also lower their energy consumption, then we cannot continue towards our goal of lowering greenhouse gases and emission as a country.
