Afton is a postdoc at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, working at NERSC. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Davis, where she worked on GPU algorithms. In her free time, Afton enjoys swimming, climbing, crochet, and listening to live music.
